Commentary from Jean-Philippe Mateta's goal in the 2026 Europa Conference League final in Leipzig, which played host to a historic night as Crystal Palace beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 to secure the clubs first ever European trophy!

The goal came just after half time in the 51st minute, as Adam Wharton made a charge into the Vallecano half before his shot was parried by the goalkeeper right into the path of Jean-Philippe Mateta who did well to adjust his body and tap in from close range!

Manager Oliver Glasner, who is leaving the club after two-and-a-half-years, will go out on a high, as the Eagles players and fans celebrated a match and a moment that will live long in the memory!
